As a leading golf risk management specialist, Gauntlet Golf, is urging golf clubs and course managers around the country to cover any holes within both their health and safety and general insurance policies.

Golf clubs are not always aware of the possible ‘holes’ in health and safety and general insurance that can typically catch them out. And then there are emerging and increasingly probable risks such as cyber and internal crime.

As you will know, Golf clubs have a legal obligation to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, plus all that the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requires.

Health and Safety policies and an up-to-date Statement of Safety policy should be drawn up and adhered to, as a starting point. However, less obvious risks are often not covered by such policies, often escaping the attention of those taking on a club’s health and safety mantle.

And, some protection is required to personally protect your assets, should something to wrong, if you are a person deemed responsible for health and safety

To help you identify this type of risk, we have created 18 holes to cover, for holistic protection, which you can download below. If you need more explanation of any of these, please call Andrew Scott on either 0113 244 8686 ext 213, or 07812 527639.
